Grand Opening of ClarkWestern’s Dade City Facility

October 12, 2006

Dade City, FL - The Grand Opening of the Dade City facility of CLARKWESTERN Building Systems, was held on October 12, 2006.  This event drew representatives from Dade City, Pasco County, the Pasco County Economic Development Council and the local Chamber of Commerce.  The event was also attended by Hugh Thatcher of MISA and John DiPietro and Roger Darr of CLARKWESTERN.  The opening of the CLARKWESTERN facility brought jobs back to a city that lost hundreds of jobs when the beverage plant that was previously housed there was closed.

CLARKWESTERN occupies almost 200,000 square feet of manufacturing and another 150,000 feet of warehousing and storage.

The plant is a manufacturing inspiration with the city and county leaders who are working to convert other parts of the former beverage plant into centers for other industrial employers.

The employees and management staff, as well as invited guests were provided with kind words of inspiration and thanks as well as a wonderful breakfast.  The guests were also given a tour of the plant.
