• Is UltraSTEEL™ available throughout the entire country? 
  • Clark Western facilities are being converted to UltraSTEEL™.  For an up to date answer to where the product is available look at our roll out map at www.clarkwestern.com. 
• Is UltraSTEEL™ available in 3-1/2” and 5-1/2” webs?
  • Yes.  UltraSTEEL™ is replacing all drywall framing.  If traditional 3-1/2” and 5-1/2” product is available in your local facility it will be available in UltraSTEEL™. 
• Will the new studs work with the old track?
  • Yes.  However, you will not get the full benefit of the friction holding power if you mix the two products.
•  Are we using the same kind of steel?
  • No.  The mechanical properties of UltraSTEEL™ are higher than traditional steel as well as the raw strip width is actually wider than traditional steel. 
• Can I get both products?
  • No.  Once your local facility converts to UltraSTEEL™ they will no longer provide traditional stud and track.   
• Can I use the same screws and tools as I did with the regular material?
  • Yes.  Another benefit is the fact there are no new tools or techniques needed to receive the benefits of UltraSTEEL™.
• What else can I compare this product to?
  • There are no products that we are aware of that compare to this product.
• Is this product patented?
  • Yes.  This product is patented throughout the world. 
• Will your competitors offer a similar product sometime soon?
  • We cannot comment on what our competitors are doing but the development and extensive testing of UltraSTEEL™ took many years and many millions of dollars. 
• Can I use traditional grommets with UltraSTEEL™?
  • Yes.  Traditional grommets will snap right into the UltraSTEEL™ stud.
• Will deflection track be made with this process?  If so, will it effect the movement that the contractor is looking for?
  • We are exploring other opportunities to utilize this technology and do anticipate applying it to more Clark Western products in the future. If we convert a product to UltraSTEEL™ you can be assured it will only enhance not deter from its performance.
• Will there be UltraSTEEL™ accessory products offered? 
  • We are exploring other opportunities to utilize this technology and do anticipate applying it to more Clark Western products in the future.
