How to Specify CW ULTRASTEEL®?

Specifying ClarkWestern UltraSTEEL® Framing by name paves the way for contractors to utilize this superior product enhancement on your projects. By including UltraSTEEL® in your project specifications, you eliminate the time, effort and cost involved with the substitution and approval process. UltraSTEEL® Framing provides better acoustical performance, improves fire resistance, reduces and simplifies installation, improves safety and provides better finish quality. And best of all, UltraSTEEL® Framing is the same price as traditional framing.

The suggested specification language provided below provides a framework to include UltraSTEEL® framing as an acceptable alternative to traditional 25 and 20 gauge metal framing. This language will not replace what you currently have in your project specifications, it will only add to it, to ensure UltraSTEEL® is approved for use.
